Co-Founder, Managing Partner, Freedom Development
A graduate of the Schar School of Policy and Government, Mr. Colin Hart is the co-founder and managing director of Freedom Development, a commercial real estate investment company. Prior to establishing Freedom Development, Hart owned Vanquest Capital Advisors, also serving as the CEO of Vanquest Investments Limited. From 2005 to 2006, Hart was interim president and CEO of the Dyneff S.A., the largest independently owned French petroleum storage and distribution company. He was a principal at Milestone Merchant Partners and served as chief operating officer of the Romania and Moldova Direct Fund, L.P. From 1994 to 1997, Hart served as an associate with The Carlyle Group and was a member of Carlyle’s Economic Offset Advisory Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From 1993 to 1994, Hart was an international business analyst at Reed Smith Shaw & McClay. Hart received his masters of arts in international commerce and policy from George Mason in 1993, and served as the president of the alumni chapter of George Mason’s Schar School of Policy and Government. In 2024, Hart was recognized as the Schar School Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.
