Mary Sanders Jones
Mary Jones enjoyed a long and productive career in a variety of finance-related positions with Union Pacific Corporation, one of the nation’s largest transportation companies. In her role as Vice President and Treasurer she was the corporation’s primary interface with major financial constituents, leading the diverse areas of corporate finance, investor relations, benefit fund investments, cash management, insurance and business development.
Retiring from Union Pacific at the end of 2017, she remains engaged in the financial world, serving as a trustee for the National Railroad Retirement Investment Trust, which oversees the management of a significant fund supporting Railroad Retirement benefits.
Throughout her life she has maintained an ardent interest in, and support for both Education and the Arts, and is currently an active and enthusiastic member of the Mason Arts Board. Ms. Jones earned a BA in English from Carleton College and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
